NEW YORK INSTITUTE,
ALL HAZARDS PREPAREDNESS

The New York Institute, All Hazards Preparedness (NYIAHP), was founded in 2003. NYIAHP has extensive national and international experience in Emergency Management and Education where we provide disaster education and training on system problems and disaster readiness to local and national governments.  NYIAHP and has been grant funded since its inception. NYIAHP has contributed to disaster research with more than 20 peer review articles, 35 abstract presentations nationally and internationally. NYIAHP has worked collaboratively with The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, The Greater New York Hospital Association, and the New York City Emergency Management.


Our mission is to prepare healthcare delivery and public health organizations to mitigate, respond to
and recover from emergencies or disaster events, public health emergencies or significant
operational disruptions.

Disaster Preparedness Training

Our Disaster Preparedness Workshops consists of simulations, lectures, and interactive sessions on disaster management.

Leadership Course:

This course prepares leadership for management of disaster events, interagency coordination, development of disaster plans, and continuity of services.

CBRNE Medical Management Course:

​

This course trains frontline staff on the medical management of disaster events, HAZMAT safety measures, and practical utilization of disaster plans.

Fellowship in Disaster Preparedness

A 1-year, remote fellowship for frontline providers on Disaster Preparedness and Management
